Dear Fellow Isshin-Ryu Karate-Ka,
Recently I came in possession of a video tape of Tatsuo Shimabuku we believe was filmed at the Agena Dojo around 1958. In the film Shimabuku Sensei is not walking through the Kata as he did in the 1966 film. Although the quality is not the best we wanted to show the world how Tatsuo Shimabuku looked in his prime. It is our hope that this video will help some Isshin-Ryu Karate-Ka to re-evaluate the way they practice Kata.
